About the Storytellers

Tim Dorn

Tim Dorn is a Mechanical Engineering major and Languages and Cultures for Professions (LCP) German. He plays the saxophone in the Iowa State Marching Band. Christa Heffern

Christa Heffern is an Animal Science and International Agriculture major with a minor in Languages and Cultures for Professions (LCP) Spanish. When Christa first came to Iowa State, she knew she wanted to keep learning Spanish but didn’t know what that would be like at college. She learned about the LCP program and the chance to study abroad while continuing her Spanish education. In Spring 2019, Christa participated Cáceres study abroad program and had the opportunity to expand her knowledge about the culture and language of Spain while learning how to travel and be more culturally aware. This program taught her what it takes to learn and live in another country, which is what she plans to do after graduation.

Ruby Crow

Ruby Crow is a Public Relations major and General Business minor. She is the Vice President of Event Management of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, the morale captain for Dance Marathon, is a member of PRSSA and a member of Fraternal Values Society.
